Some Life Drawings

A few weeks ago I returned to my life drawing studies having found a very good class close by to where I live. I had intended to post a few pics after every class but various reasons prevented me posting the others.

Then the most recent class happened.

With the stench of aerosol fumes floating down the stairs on my way to the art room, and upon arrival finding the model had failed to arrive it seemed like the evenings studies were doomed. A few people in the class offered to stand in for a while just incase the model was late, which meant clothed figures.

As it turns out I feel that these have been my most successful drawings of all the sessions!

My role on the film was as an assistant animator, which meant mainly working clean up on the lead female character. It was a truly amazing experience and I am so excited to see the film, it premiered in Berlin and got fantastic reviews.

Update - The film seems to have been received really well by those who managed to get to one of the few screenings of it, as I understand it has been released in America now as well. My dog, he is still young, but he is big. Jumped at me today and gave me a fat lip. Tall but thin, he is a 2D dog, fitting really.

So updates have not really happened so far, but this is due to an incredibly intensive year working with my peers to create our final year film.
Glad, and sad to say that it is all over now, produciton stills and posters to be blogged in a weeks time, and a website to the film to be arriving in the next month.
Hopefully with my new found time I shall get around to scanning and posting my work and sketchbooks. Lots of work from our film will be put up soon aswell, for now you can find most of it in my portfolio.

So I started this blog in the summer, and then it took me until January to actually post an image, so far I'm doing well. But seeing as how people are starting to add me on their blogs, I think its about time to really start posting, and hopefully a great deal more than my actions so far would indicate. It can only get better!

Coming soon I hope to get some of the Graduate Animated film I have been working on up here, my day to day doodles, life drawing and such like it. Also I will add a section with my current portfolio and contact details.
